Bible Time/ Christmas

December 25 is another day in the calendar of 365 days of 2009. The planet will spin tomorrow just as it did yesterday. But as a day we have chosen to focus on the birth of Jesus, December 25 can be a day of remembering and rejoicing that God loved us so much that He became man and came to this spinning Earth to save us from the eternal consequences of the guilt of our spinning souls. The Bible says the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem was the beginning of that gift. It had been promised to us in the first moments following mankind’s rejection of God in the Garden of Eden and that promise was complete when Jesus was raised from the dead after offering Himself to God as a sacrifice for our sins. The moment we receive it with simple faith in Jesus alone it is our gift forever.
And so, may all the joy, peace, and rest in hope that God purposes for you to have through Jesus Christ be yours this Christmas.

Darwin Was Wrong, Scientists Argue

Darwin was wrong, a group of scientists argued at a conference in southern California.
Scientists presented evidence over the weekend refuting Charles Darwin's theory of
evolution on many levels – including fossil record, natural selection and the origin of man – and his works in geology and other science areas.
"Natural selection happens but it does not do what Darwin needed it to do," said geneticist Dr. John Sanford. "Darwin built a worldview that has come to be the governing paradigm of the intellectual community; that worldview is now collapsing in the face of new advances in science."
Sanford was among a number of scientists who spoke at the "Darwin Was Wrong" conference at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, Nov. 13-14. The two-day event, organized by
Logos Research Associates, Inc., was held to mark the 150th anniversary of Darwin's Origin of Species, which people around the world have been celebrating this year.
"It is amazing to me that in this ‘year of Darwin,’ the whole world is bowing down to this man even while modern science is proving him wrong on all fronts," said Sanford.
On one front, Darwin was wrong about the origin of man, Dr. Robert Carter argued Saturday.
Carter refuted Darwin's three main arguments, as laid out in Descent of Man, of homology (similar features shared among similar species), embryonic recapitulation (embryo goes through evolutionary stages), and vestigial organs (organs that have no apparent nor predictable function).
He further asserted that Darwin was a "brilliant writer" but not such a great scientist.
"Darwin's greatest gift is not as a scientist; it's as a wordsmith," Carter maintained.
The Atlanta, Ga., scientist, who serves at
Creation Ministries International, also shot down the discoveries of "Lucy," "Ida," and "Ardi" as possible missing links between apes and humans.
Some evolutionists say Lucy was actually a man, citing the shape of the pelvis, Carter pointed out.
"So if they misclassified her as a female do we know if she walked upright or not?" Carter posed, noting that evolutionists conclude from the pelvic bones that Lucy walked upright.
With questions being raised, Carter believes evolutionists are pushing Lucy off to the side and "preparing her to go away."
"They never remove one of these ancestors until they have a replacement," he noted.
Last spring the bones of "Ida" were revealed. She was a lemur-like creature that was labeled as another missing link between apes and non-apes, said Carter. But when the fanfare and media hype died down, scientists realized the skeleton was just a lemur, he pointed out.
More recently, the media has been all over "Ardi," which has been touted by some as the earliest known human ancestor of modern-day man and by far the most complete among those of the earliest specimens found. But Ardi was actually discovered nearly two decades ago.
"Why the media blitz now?" Carter, who didn't grow up a young earth creationist, asked. "I think because they're trying to find a replacement ... to put more missing links in the chain."
So what's left? "Not much," he maintained.
In addition to shooting down evolutionary arguments, Carter offered a "replacement" on the origin of man, using the Bible. The Bible records three historical biblical “main events” that would have left an indelible mark on our genetic makeup: Creation, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. Research in modern genetics underlines the reality of these events, he offered.
Other arguments presented over the weekend included "Darwin was wrong about science," "Darwin was wrong about God" and Darwin was wrong about the disastrous social and moral consequences of his ideas.
The conference was designed to present scientific evidence highlighting Darwin's mistakes and also to equip Christians with such knowledge.

Condors Oct. 17th

The Condors lost to the Ontario Reign a very tough 8 - 2.
After winning both pre-season games, and crushing the Reign the night before, they might have gotten a little cocky. The players were missing passes, and not working well together at all. Timo the Goaltender, was not up to tonight's onslaught, letting 7 shots get past him. In the 3rd round, Coach Raymond [finally] replaced Timo with Justin, who only let one goal get past him. But, it was too late.
The season started with one win, and one loss.

Condors Oct. 16th

The Condors started the official season against the Ontario Reign.
The Reign seemed to be slow on their feet. While the Condors were flying on the ice with great team work. They were passing and assisting each other like they have played together for years. They were in perfect sync. Justin the Goaltender didn't let anything get past him.
The Condors easily won the game 5 - 0.

Condors 2009-10 Pre-Season

The Condors played Stockton on October 8th and 10th in pre-season.
On October 8th, the game was in Stockton, and the Condors won 3-1.
On October 10th, the game was in Bakersfield, and the Condors won 5-3.

The Condors have almost a completely new team this year. Only 2 players returned from last season; Bobby Bolt and Andrew Ianero. A lot of the new players are young hot-shot college players, with tempers to match their skill. I expect a LOT of fisticuffs this year.

Bible Time

Why did Jesus have to die?

What if you were given the chance to look into the future to see how your children would turn out [before they were born]; what would happen in yours & their lives. Would you decide not to have them? Odds are you would change nothing, because they would be the children of your heart.
If you found out that your future children would bring you pain & suffering [they usually do], would that change your mind? Most people answer no.
If you knew your child would bring you much joy & pain by their life choices, would that diminish how much you would love them?
Just imagine: Say the child of your heart was to run away, and reject your life style and you. Maybe fall into trouble or drugs and be lost to you. If you could rescue you child and bring this beloved child of your heart back to you, would you? What If child was in very bad trouble. Was being held captive and was to be tortured to death, and would be lost to you forever. And you were given the chance to rescue your child and guarantee that you would have eternity with your child if you did as the enemies asked, would you?
What if these captors/enemies wanted to torture you instead, but promised to release your child? Would you not suffer for this beloved child of yours, to save your child this pain? How many parents are willing to die to protect their children? That is what God did.
He knew when he created us, that we would rebel. He also knew that He could save us. He knew the cost, but was willing to pay it because of His love for us [His beloved children].
He knew that we could not live the perfect lives necessary to spend eternity with Him. He knew that our sin & rebellion bring separation from Him. He also knew that there was a way to bring us back into proper fellowship with Him. The Israelites offered the purest sacrifices on the alter, to God, to cover their sins. But, to be truly forgiven, only a true and perfect life would be able to keep us close to God. As humans we fail. God is the only perfect one. He knew that it would take a perfect sacrifice to fix our relationship. God in His foreknowledge knew the cost. He created us anyway. Why, because He loves us. We are His beloved children. So He died in our place to save us from hell. If He had stayed in the grave the story would have ended there. He rose from the grave to defeat sin and death. He is Heaven preparing a home for us right now.
Instead of being offended by the fact that He suffered and died for you. You should be grateful that He loves you that much. I am. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life". Knowledge of His sacrifice is not enough. We need to accept the give of eternal life with Him. That is why He died. Read John 3:3-8 this is about being born again. We can know and believe that He died, but if does not reach our hearts and change our lives, His death was for nothing.
Again: If you were given the chance to look into the future to see how your beloved children would turn out [before they were born]; what would happen in yours & their lives. Would you decide not to have them? Odds are you would change nothing, because they would be the children of your heart.
If you found out that your future children would bring you pain & suffering [they usually do], would that change your mind? Most people answer no. If you knew your child or children would bring you much joy & pain by their life choices, would that diminish how much you would love them?
JESUS KNEW THE COST AND HE WILLINGLY PAID IT BECAUSE HE LOVES US.

Bible Time

Are you a Christian? Lets find out.

I believe in Jesus.
Romans 10:9-13
... if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
For, "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved".

Very good, but...
James 2:19
You believe there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe - and tremble!

Matthew 7:21-23
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
"Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Okay, you say, "What else is there?
You need to have a relationship with God.
John 3:1-8
There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him."
Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Being a good person will never be enough. Doing good things will never be enough.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Are you a born again Christian?

My Sunday, June 21st

I did something I don't do very often. I went to bingo on Sunday at the Moose Lodge. I had a wonderful time with my friends. Took some pictures and, won two bingo's! I won an "Early Bird" all to myself for $62, and 1/5 of the "$250 Grand Prize Blackout" for $50. I even won a side game; the hardway during the "blackout" for $7.50 It was very exciting.
I didn't forget to thank the Lord for his wonderful blessings in my life. He has been very gracious to me. When it looks like I'll run out of money to play bingo with my christian friends, I'll win enough to keep playing. I always say, "I play to win, and I win to play". I don't use my income for bingo money. So the Lord is truly gracious, loving, and understanding.

New pictures

I have been taking some nice pictures with my new camera. Some are of my friends and neighbors, and some are of my dogs. I even took a really amazing picture of the clouds one night on my way home from church.
I am trying to get pictures of all my friends and family to post on my flickr site. Friends are fairly easy. I see them all the time. Family is the difficult part. They either live 200 miles away, or out of state. I will have to work on those ones.
I have been told that the new pictures of my dogs are really good.
So, please, if you would, visit my flickr site by clicking on the "My pictures" link. God bless you all.

June 8, 2009

I bought a digital camera

I bought my very first digital camera. I've been looking for 2 years for one that has a picture card AND downloads to a computer. It is an Olympus FE-370. It has a lot of features. It has 8 mega pixels, 5x optical zoom, 2.7" LCD monitor, image stabilization, face detection, smile shot detection, perfect shot preview [4 choices of each shot], perfect fix [auto correction], and movie and sound capabilities. It came with a picture card, a memory card and a case. It cost me $99.99 at Costco, with an instant manufacturers rebate.
I think I made a good choice. This camera will last me a very long time. I love to take pictures, and even have a flickr site to share them. I have been using my cellphone to take pictures for my computer and sharing. Now, I have a camera that can take better and larger pictures.
I'm looking forward to learning how to use it. I will have lots of fun.

Laptop Connect

Laptop Connect did not work. I live too far from the "data" signal. It was slower than dial up, and many things didn't work at all. I am back to bluetooth connectivity through my cellphone. It works, because it uses the phone signal.
I bought a new charger for my cellphone at WalMart. It works better than the one that came with it. It kept letting my phone battery discharge while I was online, even though it was plugged in. So, I would lose my Internet connection. It doesn't do that anymore with the new charger. I'm glad that I figured out this problem. I thought it was over-heating my phone. It all is working great now. I have 115K, and that is fast enough for me.

June 2, 2009

I am going highspeed!

I am going to get my "Laptop Connect" USB connecter tommorrow! I will go from 115K to 3G. This will make my internet time more productive. I will have more time for other things, and not be online so much. This will save my cellphone from overuse by not having to use it to get my laptop online [via bluetooth connectivity]. This will save me money on cellphone replacements, cellphone battery replacements, and bluetooth connector replacements. I will take the internet access off of my cellphone and just keep the texting option. That will be $20 less each month. I figure I will break even on the internet charges versus, cellphone and bluetooth costs.
Yeah, I'm going highspeed!

My life lately

The last few weeks have been busy and ironic.
My IE7 was not working, so I would update my computer only to have the update not work [IE8], but freeze up instead. My computer self repaired itself by back dating itself. So, I had to "un-install" IE8. I am staying with IE7 until they get all the bugs out of IE8. Then my Norton froze up on me. I contacted Symantecs [Norton] and they sent me the link to upgrade that from N360.v2 to N360.v3, which works great. Then Microsoft send me a very large update [over 600mb] for my Vista Home Premium, SP2. This repaired the problem I was having with my internet explorer in the first place, lol. So after, installing, un-installing, uploading, re-loading, downloading, and re-installing, everything works great now. I even get to use my computer, not just work on it.

Wednesday May 13th

Since I felt better, I went to Bingo on Wednesday. I had a wonderful time chatting, joking, and laughing with my christian friends. To make it even better, I won a bingo for $50, and two side games for $5 each. Sixty dollars is enough to go to bingo for three more weeks. I enjoy bingo and my friends company, but I am proud to support "Meals on Wheels".
I made it to church too. Wonderful. It feels so good to be in church with other believers wanting to learn and grow in the Lord. The praise and worship time was awesome. On Wednesday nights we are in the book of Jeremiah. I've been going on Sunday mornings too with Will, and we are going through the book of Acts.
I am so glad I switched to Calvary Chapel. They teach through the bible- chapter by chapter, verse by verse, just like they did in the early church. Not topic by topic. I learn what the Bible says, instead of, just what the preachers says. Not to insult those churches that do. I went to a First Baptist Church for 15 years. Pastor Dave always made sure to "read a few verses in front of, and after" the verses he was to preach on. That way they "could not be taken out of context".

It has been crazy

I have been on a wild ride the last few weeks. First, I got sick for about 5 days. Second, when I felt better, my rescued hound dog, Buddy, got sick [see post below]. Third, when Buddy was feeling better, he tried to wrestle with me like he does my friend Will [6' tall]. Since, I'm only 5'1", I was at a clear disadvantage since Walker Hounds are strong. Buddy jumped up and wrapped his front legs around my arms, so I pulled my arms away. So he tried again. He missed and punched me in my left eye. No joke. Fourth, I couldn't go to the doctor since it was 6:30pm on Thursday. I called my opthamologists office first thing the next morning. He only works Monday - Thursday. I called my regular doctor. He got me in at 4:00pm that day. He didn't see any scratches. But, because it was bothering me and a foot had been in my eye, he prescribed some antibiotic ointment. Since it was almost 5:00pm and the pharmacies closed at 6, they faxed it to my pharmacy for me. Fifth, The Drug Store did not have the medicine in stock, they ordered it for the next day. Sixth, The eye ointment did not come in with the order on Saturday, so they re-ordered it for Monday. Lastly, Saturday I woke up dizzy. I have an inner ear disorder called "meniere's disease", and I think my allergies and sinuses made it act up. At this point I'm dizzy and can use only one eye, lol.
My prescription for my eye came in on Monday, by then my eye felt better. I fill it just in case Buddy wants to try boxing again, he's better than me. A very crazy two and a half weeks.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I wasn't feeling good, and now my hound dog, Buddy has enteritis [poor baby]. Enteritis is an inflammation of the bowels. He has been nauseous for about 3 days, and not drinking anything. His Veterinarian put him on 2 types of medications. They were not working because nothing would stay down. Today I took him to see Dr. Vicki [his Vet.], and she tested him for Parvo ,[negative thank God!], and bacteria, negative also. So it is a basic case of eating or drinking something that upset his stomach and bowels. His way to fix this was to eat grass and vomit, but that made him more nauseous, which made him eat more grass...
Dr. Vicki, gave him fluids directly under the skin on the back of his neck, for his dehydration. This was interesting because it made a large lump, which she said that he would absorb as needed. She gave him a shot for nausea, and something to stop the spasms in his bowels. She has me cooking for him, because he needs to be on a "Bland diet" for 3-5 days.
I went to the store to pick up all of his food, and by the time we got home he was already feeling better. He got himself a big drink of water, and some of the fluids must have already been absorbed from his neck, because he needed to 'relieve himself'.
I am sooo relieved- no pun intended.
I thank my friend, Maggie who has been praying for Buddy, and Dr. Vicki, who is a Christian and prayed too. I thank God for listening to theirs and my prayers.

Condors Apr. 22nd

Las Vegas won the division semi-finals against the Bakersfield Condors 5-1. They will be playing the Stockton Thunder, [who won their semi-finals against the Ontario Reign] for the Pacific Division Finals.
The Wranglers had a two-man advantage twice in the beginning of the first stanza. One of the Condors goals was "waved off" as following a hand pass [not legal], ending a tie in the first stanza. In the second stanza, the Wranglers had the advantage with Bakersfield shorthanded again. Bakersfield out shot Las Vegas 14-4 in the final stanza, but their goalie blocked all of the Condors attempts to score.
This season may be over, but I'll always be a Condor fan. I can't wait for the 2009-2010 season. October seems so far away.

Condors Apr. 21st

The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Bakersfield Condors 3-1. Now the two teams are tied 3-3, forcing game 7 to break the tie. The winner will advance to play either Ontario or Stockton, who are also going to game 7 for a tie breaker.
The game had no goals by either team in the first stanza. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the second stanza. The Wranglers came out on fire in the third stanza. They had two more goals within 10 minutes, guaranteeing themselves one more chance to win the Pacific Division semi-finals.
The last game between the Condors and the Wranglers is tomorrow night in Las Vegas.
LETS GO CONDORS, LETS GO!!

April 19, 2009

Condors Apr. 18th

When I arrive at the game the score is 2-0 Condors. By the end of the second stanza, the score is 3-2 Wranglers. In the 3rd, the Condors tie it up, 3-3, forcing the game into overtime. In overtime, the Condors score the winning goal in 11 seconds. The Condors beat the Wranglers 4-3. A very exciting game, to say the least.
The winning shot was the third goal [a hat trick] for Mark Derlago. The crowd was screaming and jumping with excitement. So was Mark Derlago, of course [see picture].
Game 6 [and 7 if necessary] are in Las Vegas. When [hopefully] the Condors win this round against the Las Vegas Wranglers, they will play Ontario or Stockton on Apr. 24th back on home ice.
LETS GO CONDORS!!

My Saturday

My Saturday started out awful. My neighbors hound howled all night long, which equals no sleep for me. I actually make it to the place I meet my friends to catch a ride to the Condors game, on time. They are running a few minutes late. That's okay. I decide to get a donut at the shop right there while I wait. That's when I make a terrible mistake. I lock my keys in the car.
They tried to jimmy the lock, no go. We don't want to call AAA, that would take at least an hour or more. I finally remember that I can call the Fire Department. If they aren't on a call, they will open it if you are elderly or disabled [at least they do where I live]. I am disabled, so I call them and within 20 minutes, my car is open. Praise the Lord!! We are running 40 minutes late, but we do get to go to the Condors game. What a day.

April 18, 2009

Condors Apr. 17th

The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Condors 4-0. It was the first time the Condors were shutout since Jan. 14th, when the Wranglers won by the exact same margin. The series is now tied 2-2. It was embarrassing. The Condors played like they've never played together before. It was so bad that the crowd [including me] was shouting "shoot it!- shoot it!- shoot it!". They would pass the puck back and forth till a Wrangler would steal it. When the Wranglers scored their fourth goal in the 3rd, half of the audience, got up and left in disgust. I'm glad I wasn't in locker room after that game. My ears would still be burning.
The next game is Saturday night in Bakersfield, then the semi-finals move back to Las Vegas. LETS GO CONDORS!

April 15, 2009

Condors Apr. 15th

Condors beat the Wranglers 6-5 in OT. There were more than 100 shots-on-goal 'combined'; The Condors with 55, the Wranglers with 52.
Dave Bonk got a hat-trick, his first for the Condors [I think], and one more goal in OT. We are now 2-1, in the lead for "best of 7". With two more games this weekend, we are in for some great hockey.
Way to go, Condors! Keep up the good work.

Bible Time

Psalm 103: 11-12 [NKJV]
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

I think these verses are amazing. Before mankind even knew about the north and south poles, God had directed David to write this psalm. North and south are fixed points, east and west are not! If you fly north around the earth, halfway there, you will reach the south. You can fly east all the way around the earth and never reach the west, and vice versa. The east and west never meet.
How awesome is that?

Easter -- Resurrection Day

Happy Resurrection Day to all! Easter isn't about bunnies, candy and eggs to me. In the New Testament, the early Christian believers gathered together to worship and study the scriptures on the "Lord's Day"; the day the Lord rose from the grave. That is why we worship on Sunday. Once a year we celebrate the day He rose, Easter Sunday or Resurrection Day.
I wish you all a close and loving relationship with our great and loving God. A God that suffered and died, so you wouldn't have too. He loves you that much. Praise the Lord that we can be forgiven, because of His selflessness.
I am saved by the grace of God, through faith. Are you?

Condors Apr. 11th

The Condors beat Vegas 3-2 with a last minute goal by Derlago. This ties up the series with the Las Vegas Wranglers 1-1. The next 3 games are in Condor's Town [Bakersfield]. We will have the home ice advantage. So, hopefully, they will win all 3 and not need to return to Vegas. The playoffs are played to the "best of 7".
My voice is back. My team is coming home. I'll be there this weekend. GO CONDORS!!

April 10, 2009

Condors Apr. 10th

The Condors lost the first game of the playoffs. Las Vegas won 3-1. Both teams made almost the same number of "shots on goal", but Las Vegas' goalie did better than our "Fuji". Of course, without proper defense, the goalie cannot do his job. DEFENSE.
I personally think the Condors got used to being at home, with most of the last 12 games on home ice. Come on guys, you can do better. GO CONDORS!

April 7, 2009

I've lost my voice

After 2 weekends with two Condors games each, [and yelling encouragement to the team], I have just a whisper and squeak left. It's probably a good thing that there are no home games for 1 -1/2 weeks. Speaking doesn't hurt. I've only strained my vocal cords, but according to my Mother, they "sound" painful, lol.
When I play bingo, I will need to have a friend holler "bingo!" for me if I win.
The true bummer is I won't be able to sing the wonderful praise and worship songs on Wednesday night. I will sing them in my heart, just not with my mouth.
I'll have my church pray for my vocal cords, because I don't want to cause permanent damage.
Good thing I won't be going to another Condors game till Friday 17th.

Condors Play0ff Update

The Condors will begin the Pacific Division Semi-Finals against Las Vegas. Each round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs are best-of-seven.
Games 1 and 2 will be in Las Vegas on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th, both games will start at 7:30 pm. Games 3, 4 and 5[if necessary] will be in Bakersfield, on Wednesday 15th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th. Games 6 and 7, if necessary, will be held in Las Vegas.

April 5, 2009

Condors Apr. 4th

The Condors lost 3-2 in game that went to OT and SO [shootout], against the Ontario Reign. Goalie, Jerad Kaufmann, played his first professional game, and did very well for the Condors. The shootout went to 7 shots, showing just how good our new backup goalie is. Win or lose, the Condors were going to the playoffs, and "Kaufer" needed to play at least one game in regular season to prepare for the playoffs.
This game was a nail biting, "I can't breath", game from the start. Both teams played for keeps. The first stanza included almost 50 minutes in penalties, plenty of fights, and two injured Reign players. Sadly, one of the injured Ontario Reign players was taken out on a stretcher to the hospital. I suspect an injured back, neck, or probably a leg injury like a torn hamstring.
This SO loss put the Condors in 3rd place in the Pacific Division. The Condors will start the playoffs next week in Las Vegas, against the Wranglers.

April 4, 2009

Condors Apr. 3rd

The Condors played the Ontario Reign, and held the lead through the 2nd stanza. In the 3rd however, Ontario came on strong, making the game a real "nail biter". By the middle of the 3rd, the Reign took the lead with 3-2. Derlago scored near the end of the 3rd for the Condors. Bringing the score to 3-3, forcing OT [overtime]. In OT, the Condors scored with just 1:11 left on the clock. The Condors won 4-3.
The Reign played a good game, fighting for a spot in the play-offs. Their Booster Club was even in attendance. They, of course, were thrilled when the Reign took the lead, and when the score was tied, giving the Reign a chance for a win.
The two teams play again on Saturday Apr. 4th, the Condors last regulation game of the season. If Bakersfield loses that game we will be in 3rd place in our division. If we win, we will be 2nd in our division, regardless of the Las Vegas/Stockon series.
GO CONDORS!!!!

Internet Explorer 8- WARNING

WARNING. If you use Norton 360 to protect your computer, DO NOT install IE8 [Internet explorer 8]. The two do not get along. When I downloaded the new IE8 on my computer last night, it shut down my Norton 360! I had to go back to Microsoft.com and use their un-installer and then work for over an hour to get my Norton working. I used the Norton help section. It had me reset my computer to run Norton automatically, then restart my computer. Then I had to "check for updates". The updates took almost an hour, then restart my computer again.
Thank God it worked!

Wednesday April 1st

Today was an awesome day. I woke up feeling rested, a novel feeling for me. Then I went to bingo and won $40. Was able to pick up all of my service dog, Kati's, prescription food from the Veterinarian, and my prescriptions from The Drug Store before they closed.
I went to church [forgot my bible-bummer] and really enjoyed singing the worship and praise songs. The sermon was a bit long, but very very interesting.
Wednesdays are important to me. Not only do I get to visit with my friends at bingo and church, I get to spend time in Gods house.

April Fools Day

I'm still hoarse from cheering [screaming] my Condors to victory last weekend. I will probably just get my voice back in time for this weekends games. I will attend the last 2 regulation games, of course.
When the play-offs start, there will only be about 3-8 home games, depending on which seed we start in, and how far we go. One crazy and fun last month. Then I will have to wait the whole summer long for hockey season to start again.

Condors Update

There are four teams in our division, with three teams tied for 2nd place. The Condors happens to be one of them. The Condors only needs to gain one point in the next two games to clinch a playoff spot. Phoenix has to win all 4 of their last games or we get that spot. Things are definitely looking good in Condors Town.

Condors Mar. 28th

The Condors played the Las Vegas Wranglers last night. Awesome game! The Condors handily beat the Wranglers 7-4. After the game was "Meet the team night" for those with weekend plans or are season ticket holders. Since we have the weekend plan, and two young ones with us, we went to the meet the team event.
We had to wait for them to shower, talk with the coach, and 'suit up'. This made it a very long evening. Austin [7] got the autographs of all the players, and his picture taken with his total fave: goalie Fukufuji. I got my faves autographs on my Condors hat; Derlago, Ianiero, and of course Fukufuji. Fuji was really cool, he signed our stuff in Japanese and English.
To see the pictures of Austin, go to: http://www.flickr.com/savedbygrace6634 , he's gotten his picture with both mascots and now the number ONE goalie.
This game puts us only one point out of second place in our division, behind the Wranglers.
Only 2 more regulation games left; next weekend. April 9th is the beginning of the play-offs.
GO CONDORS!!

March 27, 2009

Condors Mar. 27th

Headline from "Condors Press Release: Condors Filet The Salmon Kings". Absolutely! I was there. The game was action packed, full of fights, and goals. The Condors embarrassed the Victoria Salmon Kings by beating them 7-3. They didn't take it well either, that's why there were so many fights. Win or lose, I love my Condors, but watching them thrash a team that's supposed to be WAY better than us is just wonderful!
There is another game tomorrow night, Saturday 28th, against the Las Vegas Wranglers.
GO CONDORS!!

March 25, 2009

Wednesday Mar. 25th

The new mattress is perfect. I haven't slept better in years. My pain level went from a 9 [out of 10] to a 3 in one night. Thank you God.
I went to bingo, and had lots of fun chatting with my friends. I hadn't seen them in 3 weeks, because of the pain. I didn't win at bingo, but the fun and laughter was the high point.
I went to church after. It was very interesting. The associate pastor spoke a little about apologetics, while going over John 16. After the service, which ended at 8 pm, Will and I hang out with Pastor Bob discussing many things until 10 pm.
May God bless Pastor Bob with health and continued blessings for his kindness, patience and understanding.

Condors Mar. 25th

The Condor fired a season high record of 55 shots on goal, but still lost to the Victoria Salmon Kings. Victoria has 81 pts. to Bakersfield's 67 pts. So losing to Victoria 5-3 isn't embarrassing. The team tried very hard [55 attempts to score], but Victoria is just a better team.
The two teams play again on Friday the 27th. I will be at that game rooting for my team.
GO CONDORS!

March 24, 2009

Pain was getting worse

With my muscle spasms and pain not getting better, I decided it was time to do something to help the problem. My mattress died about 3 years ago, and has continued to get worse. With my spinal disorder, clearly that was NOT helping. So, I decided this morning that I would "bite the bullet", and buy a new mattress. When I arrived at the only furniture store in my area, I was pleased to see a very large sign, "Mattress Sale".
I found a Serta mattress for less than $172, and that included delivery! When I tested the mattress at the store, I had no spasms, pain, or pinched nerves acting up. I am sooo looking forward to a good nights sleep.
I know that God loves me.

March 22, 2009

The storm hit

Early this morning it started raining with really high winds. Then it turned to sleet with high winds. In the daytime it was snow with high winds.
When Buddy wanted out to tinkle, I had to force him. The spray from the sleet at 50+ miles an hour really hurts, I know, I had to go with him. He usually stays outside during the day, but he wanted right back in. Me too.
The hight temperature for the day was a blistering 41* with the low at 20*. I refuse to look up the windchill factor, it will make me feel colder, lol.
For obvious reasons, I've had my woodstove going since last night.

March 21, 2009

Condors Mar. 21st

The Bakersfield Condors were playing in Stockton tonight.
The Condors started out ahead 2-0 in the first stanza and 3-1 in the second stanza. The Thunder were able to tie the game at the end of the third and last stanza, forcing the game into OT [overtime]. Overtime didn't last long, the Condors scored in less than a minute. This win puts the Condors in 3rd place in our division, ahead of the Stockton Thunder!
We really needed to win this game to secure a place in the play-offs. The play-offs aren't a guarantee, but it sure looks good for the Condors.

A storm is coming

According to all sources [NWS, local news etc] there is going to be a snow storm here tomorrow on Sunday, with snow down to 4000'. Oh goody. I get to drive my super bouncy 4x4 again. Of course, it could be worse. I could have NO truck and be stuck. So, I bounce up and down my dirt road in the snow and mud most of the winter.
When friends ask, "Are you going to be here 'such and such". I answer, "God willing, and the creek don't rise", and I'm NOT kidding.
Pray that God keeps me and my 'fur babies' safe till the weather clears for the season.
Thank you. God bless all.

Condors Mar. 20th

The Condors jumped out to a roaring start in the first period, putting three goals up on the board. The Condors rolled to a 4-1 win over the Utah Grizzlies in front of 5,311 fans at Rabobank Arena Friday night.
Bakersfield has won 15 in their last 20 games, and 9 in their last 12 home games. The victory put the Condors in a tie with Stockton in points, but just one win behind them in the standings, setting the stage for a pivotal matchup on Saturday Mar. 21st in Stockton.
Above is from: Condors - Press Release March 20th, 2009
We need to continue winning to make it to the play-offs. GO CONDORS!!

March 18, 2009

Condors Mar. 18

Condors triumph over Utah 4-1. The Condors have won 14 of their last 18 home games, and are presently in the running for the play-offs. This win should increase our chances for the play-offs.
Quote from Condors Press release 3-17-09: "PLAYOFF OUTLOOK: The Condors currently hold down the final spot in the National Conference playoff picture, with a .018 win percentage cushion over the Phoenix RoadRunners. Phoenix is in action tonight in Las Vegas.
Bakersfield trails the Stockton Thunder for the third place spot in the Pacific Division, just .023 in win percentage behind, with one head-to-head meeting left in the regular season, this Saturday at Stockton Arena".
Go Condors!!

Wed. Mar. 18th

I didn't go to bingo today because my neck and back were in spasms.
Better to save my strength for church. Will, went to church with me again [for the 3rd week in a row]. We both brought goodies and snacks, good idea since the person signed up to bring snacks was out sick.
I was a very interesting service. We were studying Jeremiah chapter 9. I learned so much, and was taught how to apply it to my life. That helps soooo much. It is really amazing what the old testament can teach us- now.

March 17, 2009

Today is Buddy's birthday!

Today [yes, St. Paddy's Day], is Buddy, my hound dogs first birthday! I got Buddy when he was 4 mos. old. He has lax ligaments in his legs, and cannot be hunted. For a purebred Treeing Walker Hound, that is bad. A hunting dog that is not able to be hunted is usually killed. So, I rescued him. He is such a joy. He gives gentle kisses on my cheek, plays fetch, and comes when called. He doesn't wander, which is good, I have 2 -1/2 acres and no fence. He has turned my 11 year old dogs into playful puppies again. It is so much fun to watch them all play. Buddy is a hyperactive breed, so he sleeps in a crate at night. He is worse than a child, no kidding. I can't let him loose in the house for 5 seconds before he is destroying something. So, he was sleeping outside, but it literally got too cold this winter. Even under the patio, in a doghouse with blankets, he was shivering. A friend brought me the large dog crate, so he could sleep inside. Buddy loves his crate. I think it's because he gets to sleep inside where it is warm, and where the rest of his "pack" is. We enjoy having him inside with us too.
Happy birthday Buddy. Have many, many more! I love Ya'.

March 15, 2009

Condors Mar. 14th

The Condors did not have it together last night. They were not working as a team. Which is sad, because when they do, they are undefeatable.
The Condors started out pretty good, but the defense fell apart quickly. Allowing the Utah Grizzlies to score and get the lead, which the kept through out the game. The Condors almost tied the game at the last minute, but failed.
The Grizzlies Won with 4, the Condors 3.

March 14, 2009

Condors Mar. 13th

I made it to the Condor's game last night. It was amazing.
The Condors came out blazing, and quickly had the lead 3-1, in the first stanza. In the second stanza the Utah Grizzlies wanted revenge, and got it. In less than 10 minutes, the score went to 4-3 Utah. McKee our 2nd goalie got pulled out, and Fuji [my fave] was sent in. Fuji succeeded in preventing the Grizzles from scoring anymore. The Condors, on the other hand, scored 3 more times. With One of our players [Ianiero] getting a hat-trick and the 100th goal of his career in the final stanza. Way to Go! This brought the final score to Condors 6 v. Utah 4.
Go Condors!

March 12, 2009

Wed. Mar. 12th

I didn't make it to bingo yesterday. I have "spinal stenosis" [a spinal disease] in my neck, and it has been causing me all sorts of trouble for two weeks. It goes from spams to pinched nerve with spasms; what fun. This is caused by weather changing. It has been like a roller coaster lately; pouring rain one day, bright sun the next, snow two days later, and then sun the next.
My friend and helper, Will, was going to church, so he took me with him. Saving me the pain of turning my head all over the place, while driving and watching the road. He is such a help and a wonderful friend. Thank you God for sending him.
It was a great service and I learned a lot. It's amazing what you can apply to your own life from just one chapter of the bible. That is why I enjoy my new church so much. I have been going to Calvary Chapel for two years. Before that I went to First Baptist for many years. Calvary Chapel teaches the bible, "chapter by chapter, verse by verse". Just like in the bible days, "line upon line, precept upon precept". I learn so much more this way.

Bible Time

Proverbs 3:5-6 [NKJV]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

This was my very first "memory verse". I was told to choose a paragraph in Proverbs. When I first read these two verses, they reached deep inside my heart. They are almost directions on, "How to live the Christian life". Today, 18 years later, they are still my favorite verses of the Bible.

Buddy - My 11 mos. hound dog

Today, Buddy went missing. All day long. I was worried sick that someone might have picked him up, because he is a purebred Treeing Walker Hound.
Buddy doesn't normally follow vehicles or bikers or cyclists. This morning some guys with mountain bikes were going up the mountain, instead of down. When they go down, they tend to go very fast. Apparently, they were going slow enough that Buddy went with them.
They tried to throw rocks at him to chase him away [Buddy thinks that is a game], but he continued to follow. He followed them all the way up the mountain and back down the other side. They kept a hold of his collar when they were on the highway, so he wouldn't run into traffic. When they got to their first truck, they put Buddy in the back of it with their bikes. Then they drove to their other truck. Then they very kindly drove 2-3 more miles to bring Buddy home.
I am very grateful that they kept him safe and brought him home. Not all people are so considerate.
I think after his 12 mile jog, that Buddy will have no trouble sleeping tonight.

Condors Mar. 7th

The Condors played in Ontario [Calif.] last night. After a 6 hour drive from Stockton to get to Ontario, they were not at their best. With Fuji [goalie] still out with an injury, and McKee playing in his place, made it tougher. The Ontario Reign is a very good team, and they beat us 7-3.
The rest of the games this season are home games. We need to continue to play good there are only about 8 games left. I don't think the loss to Ontario hurt our standings. So, hopefully they continue to play really good, and make it to the play-offs.
The first half of this season the team really did not play well at all. They pulled themselves together in January, and have worked hard and played their heart outs. They deserve a chance at the play-offs.

March 6, 2009

Condors Mar. 6th

The Condors played in Stockton tonight, against the "Thunder". The Condors scored 2 goals in each of the 3 stanzas, maintaining a nice lead throughout the entire game. With "Fuji" the primary goalie out with an injury, McKee filled in, and did a great job allowing only 3 pucks get past him. The final score: Condors 6 v. Thunder 3.
The Condors have a real chance to make it to the play-offs.

March 5, 2009

Wednesday March 4th

Will, my friend and helper, came to bingo with me. He was lucky and won a game. Which is great, he only comes once a month or so. Way to go, Will.
I, on the other hand, only got close or "on" [1 away] practically every game. Getting on is like a cardiovascular workout. Your heart just pounds, thinking, "I got it, I'm gonna win".
After bingo, Will and I went to church. We had a wonderful visit with friends. We were able to take communion. The service was fascinating. We had so much to talk about, we stayed afterwards chatting with the Pastor for 2-1/2 hours!
Then, I had to stop on the way home to switch from my car to my truck. Goody. It has been raining and snowing. With the promise of more. I really hate getting stuck on the mountain in my car, with my 4x4 down the hill. So, I would rather have my truck up here and not need it, than to have my car up here and get 2 ft. of snow.
Will, Kati [my Service Dog] and I, bounced up the hill in my truck with overload springs. Picture springs that are way too tight. No spring effect.
We all made it home with our joints still in place and all of our teeth. lol.

Condors Mar. 4th

The Condors played the Utah Grizzlies at home in Bakersfield. Another rookie netted his first professional hat trick [3 goals]. Helping the Condors to, "Trounce the Utah Grizzles 8-4". Another win for the Condors. Way to go team!
The coach is back too.

March 3, 2009

Condors Feb. 28th and Mar. 1st

The Condors played Saturday Feb. 28th and Sunday Mar. 1st.
Saturday was in Phoenix. The Condors won, with a 6-3 score against the RoadRunners. One player even notched his first hat trick [3 goals in one game].
Sunday was a home game in Bakersfield against the Las Vegas Wranglers. The game played to a tie in regulation, and continued into OT [overtime]. Still they were tied 3-3. So it went to a SO [shoot-out] where "Fuji" our goaltender let nothing past him, while our players scored. To make the final score Condors 4 v. RoadRunners 3.

Internet games for charity

I love to play games on the Internet in my spare time. Usually in late evening. The website I play on most of the time is http://www.iwon.com/ . On iwon you earn coins for playing games that you can use to enter sweepstakes drawings for money or prizes. My favorite thing about playing on iwon is that while I'm earning coins for myself, I am also earning points for my charity. It makes me feel like I'm doing something to help.
I usually switch charities every month or so. I've played for Best Friends Animal Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Cancer Research, Salvation Army, and for Feb. I chose Doctors Without Borders. Doctors Without Borders is in 3rd place this month, so I'll stay with them in March. Players usually switch teams and the 2nd and 3rd place charities move up to 1st or 2nd.
I always choose a charity/team from the top 3. First place gets $10k, second place get $2k and third place gets $1k [mailed directly to the charities headquarters].
So, if you enjoy playing all kinds of games for FREE. If you like to give to charity. This may be something you would be interested in.
God Bless

February 25, 2009

Wednesday Feb. 25th

Today I went to the Seniors center to play bingo [supports Meals on Wheels]. I didn't win, but my friends did. I had a lot of fun. I got "on" [1 away] almost every game, and some games I was on up to 7 times! Really thought I had it a couple times, but that's what makes it fun.
Kati, my service dog, was finally able to come with me. She was stuck at home for 3 weeks, because of the snow. The ride in my 4x4 pick-up is REALLY rough, and it makes her very sore. She is after all 11 years old. She was soooo excited to go, and everyone was happy to see her.
I was able to go to church today, yeah! It was a very good service and it was good to see my friends there.
The snow and ice is gone. The rain melted it, so I was able to bring my car home. I keep it at 3000', at a friends house 3 miles down the hill from me. In the winter, I keep either my car or my 4x4 pick-up at their house. I switch off as needed. It's kinda funny. In bad weather, I drive the truck down to my car- switch, then switch on the way home. It does get old, so I'm happy to have my car home and not need to switch for now.

Condors Feb. 24th

Well, the Condors winning streak has ended. They lost to the Alaska Aces 5 v. Condors 2. I personally think it's the coaches fault. They weren't at the game. I called the Condors head office and found out why. They were put on suspension!
So, the team is working with an 'interim' coach until Mar. 3rd. I didn't even ask what the coaches did.
The team is working hard to qualify for the play-offs, and now this.

Bear and the critter

BearBear never did get the critter he was digging for. After his 3 days of digging, it moved. Yeah! I couldn't stand the thought of him hurting a little fox, or a little skunk hurting him, lol.
I think that little critter should have moved earlier. I wouldn't have waited 3 days while a large animal was digging furiously into my home. Would you?

It has been raining for 3 days

The last three days it has been raining. This is good and bad. The good- it has been melting the snow, the bad- the cloudy days have prevented my solar panels from charging.
Day 1- I only got a trace of rain. Day 2- I got 1/2" rain over the course of the day. Day 3- I got 1/2" rain in about 2-3 hours in the very early am. So, it has been cloudy.
I live off the grid [no public utilities available at my house]. I have my own water well, solar panels for charging batteries to run my TV, computer, and lights. I have a very large generator to pump water from my well, run the vacuum etc. I have a very small generator to help charge my batteries when it's very cold [bad for batteries], and when it has been cloudy.

Condors Feb. 22nd

The Condors again played the Victoria Salmon Kings. This time we won. Only two of our players scored in the game. Derlago- scored 3x [hat trick], and Painchaud- scored 2x. Which is awesome, considering that the Salmon Kings only scored twice. The Salmon Kings are WAY above us in the ECHL rankings, and that makes it much more wonderful that we won by 3. Bakersfield Condors 5 v. Victoria 2. GO CONDORS!

Condors Feb. 21st

The Condors Played the Victoria [Canada] Salmon Kings. The game was tied after three sessions, and had to go into overtime [OT]. Nothing changed in OT, so it went into a shootout [SO]. We lost, by one point in the SO. Salmon Kings 4 v. Condors 3. It was a close game and I was glad to be there.

Bingo -no Church

Yesterday, I went to bingo. I had a really good time with my friends, even though I didn't win. I was "on" [needed 1 number] on almost every game. That makes it very exciting.
The bummer was, I didn't get to go to church. I go to my local Calvary Chapel most Wednesday evenings for Bible study. I didn't get to go, because there is still snow on my road. After it starts to melt, then freezes again at night it becomes ice. It is very difficult to drive up a sheet of ice, even with a 4x4. So, I had to come straight home.

Condors Feb. 18th

Well the Condors won again! They were in Utah playing the Grizzlies. Final score -Condors 6 @ Utah 5. They are on a winning streak. This win put them higher in the standings. They just might make it to the play-offs. There are just 18 more games left in the regular season; only 4 away games. I'm going to attend the Saturday & Sunday games- weather permitting.

More snow, and the dogs love it!

It snowed 5" yesterday and 3" this morning. This brings the weeks total to 16". Good thing I have a 4wd truck.
Yesterday as I was walking the dogs around, Bear [my Lab] found a fox or skunk den. He spent hours digging in that hole. I kept getting him home, but every time I let him out to potty he would go back and dig more. When I got him in for the night he was a wet and dirty dog. I actually used snow to clean him off- It works! I sure hope that little critter moves so Bear will stop digging after it. I don't want him to hurt a fox or a skunk to spray him.
The snow makes ALL my dogs act like puppies. Only Buddy is a puppy, he's 11 months. Kati & Bear are both 11 years. They all love to play in the snow. Then, after playing, Kati likes to lay down by the wood stove and warm up her bottom.

Condors Feb. 16th

Last night the Condors were in Utah playing the Grizzlies. The game was tied at 3, and went into overtime and a shootout. The shootout went to 7 shots each [minimum of 5] to break the tie. Bakersfield's rookie Matt Pope broke the tie to bring the Condors another win.
Matt Pope is in the East Coast Hockey Leagues [ECHL] top 5 scoring rookies.
Our best
goalie, Yutaka Fukufuji [we call him, Fuji] is the only player born in Japan to play in the ECHL and the NHL. He is the only player from Japan to EVER play in the NHL. He played with the Anaheim Ducks for part of a season a few years ago. He is a fan favorite.

Preparing for Snowstorm

Right now, I'm preparing for a huge snowstorm. It is 19* out and cloudy. The snow is supposed to hit first thing in the morning. I got 8" in the last storm, I should get as much or more from this storm. This storm will be wetter than the last one. Good thing I went shopping today, and stocked up on supplies.
God Bless you all. Keep warm and dry.

Condors Feb. 14th

The Condors were in Stockton last night. The game was an unexpected win for the Condors.
The score was Condors-0 @ Stockton-3 in the 1st, Condors-1 @ Stockton-3 in the 2nd, and Condors-5 @ Stockton-4 Final. They pulled it out in the last frame. The Condors have won 5 out of their last 6 games. Way to go Condors.

Condors Feb. 13th

The Bakersfield Condors [hockey] beat the Ontario Reign 5-3 on Friday. I missed the game because of the snow, bummer. They have won 4 out of their last 5 games. This will bring them up in the standings and help them make it to the playoffs [hopefully]. If you are curious about my favorite team, go to: http://www.bakersfieldcondors.com/ .
Keep warm & dry.

Woke up to snow

Friday morning I woke up to 14* and 8" of powder snow. It was so beautiful looking outside, with the trees and shrubs covered in snow. Perfect for skiing, but not walking dogs. I fell several times just walking the 3 dogs up the hill in the snow. I'm sure I stepped on some ice under the snow, from the previous snow. At least it was powder snow, it just brushed right off. The temperature warmed up to a cozy 32* with a westward wind of 5-20 mph.
My friend and helper Will, brought in a lot of dry firewood to keep my house warm. Another snow storm is coming Sunday night through Monday. Where I live [at 5000'] 12" -18" of fresh snow is expected. I guess I'll just stay home. Not like I have a life or anything to do, lol. Good thing I like it where I live. I have great neighbors, and my computer of course -grin-.

My Birthday

Well, as of yesterday [2-11], I am 43. I had a great day.
At bingo [in support of Meals on Wheels] I won $77, and almost everyone wished me a "Happy Birthday". I even received a card signed by all my bingo friends. How thoughtful.
Afterwards, I went to Wednesday evening services at my church. Very good service, and awesome praise & worship songs.
Today, I woke up to 3" snow. Must have snowed very early, because it was already there at 6 am. The sun shone today, but it stayed cold, 33* for the high.
Expecting a huge snow storm tomorrow, all the way down to I-5 on the grapevine. Down to about 3000'. This is a lot of snow and cold weather for CA.

It's Snowing and cold today

Hi all,
It has been snowing on and off all day. Right now I have 3". The wind has been blowing hard since last night, and the high temp was 33* and the low 20*. Brrr.
I have a nice warm fire in my woodstove going. All 3 dogs [Kati-Standard Dachshund, Bear-Lab, and Buddy-Walker Hound] are asleep by the stove.
Keep warm all.

Condors Feb. 7th

The Condors had to play the Idaho Steelheads, a WAY better team. We beat them 4-3! Another awesome game to watch and attend. The Condors coach threw a tantrum and got thrown out of the game for a 2 minute penalty. I've never seen a coach get a penalty before. :-o

Condors Feb. 6th

I went to a hockey game last night [Bakersfield Condors- ECHL]. We beat the Alaska Aces 4-2. Sent them home with their tails between their legs. -grin- It was an awesome game to watch and attend, both teams played great. I can't wait for tonight's game.
